Sure, there are a lot of unboxing videos you can choose from if you go on YouTube and try to look for any, but admit it, it doesn’t get any better than seeing the hot and sexy Maria Sharapova unboxing her new Sony Ericsson Xperia smartphone. OK, maybe she’s not as hot as she could have been in this video, but hey, she looks cute anyway. And that phone in her hand? The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro. She goes over a few of the features she immediately noticed about it and drops a few related comments. Watch the unboxing video embedded above to see for yourself.

I know a lot of people are waiting for the release of the Android-powered Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 right now, but I won’t be surprised if some of them give up waiting after reading this article. A recent report from the Wall Street Journal pins the price of the upcoming smartphone at around 6,000 Swedish kronor or about $879 USD. Now, that’s not a bad price for an awesome handset, right? Who am I kidding? It’s ridiculous.

It’s a cellphone! Well, a cellphone with Google’s open-source Android OS, a Snapdragon CPU and a very snappy touchscreen display. Is it worth nearly a grand? Your call. Still, Sony Ericsson will probably set the record straight in the next few weeks when they announce the final and official pricing of the Xperia X10.

Xperia X1
Less than two weeks ago, Sony Ericsson officially launched the Xperia X1 in the land of Korea. And with three new panels to boot. Now, the very first user review has finally been published, courtesy of our oft reliable friends at Telecoms Korea. According to Sony Ericsson, retail Xperia X1 units are going to have a free 4GB microSD card with the the Spiderman 3 movie preloaded, an additional battery and a charging dock, but the reviewer noted that none of these were present with his review unit. Initially, he says, his impressions on the Korean Xperia X1 weren’t good, mainly because of the slow Windows Mobile 6.1 OS. However, he came to like the Xperia X1′s performance as a phone, as it performed quite well especially with all the panels. To learn more about the Korean version of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, head on down to the link below for the full review.
