Good news for all Facebook panel users out there, it’s been reported that the panel has been updated. While the update doesn’t bring any added features, users are reporting it is much faster when loading and provides better performance.

The Facebook panel for your Xperia X1, can either be downloaded directly from the Sony Ericsson website or via your handset. Going to the More Panels option on your handset will allow you to download the update.

  1. Just downloaded it… Works a heck of a lot faster and switching back to the X-Panel now no longer takes a minute or 2.

    Good update!

  5. david power says:

ive downloaded and tried both the facebook panels (original and the updated version)and on neither one can i get it to log on it just says login failed if anyone reading this can help me out i would appreciate it very much

  6. Hey David power,

    Check with your network provider.

I called em about data packages (Vodafone) and found out there was a “standard” child block on it. Despite the obvious fact you need to be 18 to get a contract. The advisor said this blocked Google, you tube and other sites so that may be your problem

  7. ..also getting a “login failed” notification.
doubt the problem has been fixed,
although it does work to login through opera browser.
so that will suffice for the mean while.
    to David:
I’ve checked around with other forums and they’re also claiming to have the same problems. in the mean while i’d highly suggest just logging in through
http://www.m.facebook.com – on opera or internet explorer in the meanwhile

  8. Has anyone found a fix to the login issue yet? I can use the Windows Mobile Facebook app without any problem, but the Panel version fails.

  9. can’t send or read comment

  10. It doesn’t work very well in international versions of facebook :S
