If you are one of the lucky ones who got hold of the Xperia X1 through whatever means, chances are you are getting annoyed by the pesky email signature that keeps on appearing whenever you sent an email message using your Xperia X1. This annoying default message, which is similar to what I experienced when I got my iPhone 3G, that says  “Sent from my Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 can be easily remove by following the procedures below:

  • Fire up File Explorer and browse through My Device>Windows>Startup
  • Select the file “SignatureReplace”
  • Choose Menu>Edit>Cut
  • Browse through another folder
  • Paste the file anywhere

Then if you want to change your email signature with another text, simply change it through the Messaging application. Your new email signature will remain the next time you boot your Xperia X1.

  1. A better way, is to bring up your email
select: Menu -> Tools -> Options
    click signatures…
Untick “Use signature with this account”

  2. I must say, I could not agree with you in 100%, but that’s just my opinion, which indeed could be wrong.
p.s. You have an awesome template for your blog. Where have you got it from?

  3. Hey, nice tips. Perhaps I’ll buy a glass of beer to that person from that chat who told me to go to your blog :)
p.s. Year One is already on the Internet and you can watch it for free.
