Loading HTC’s TouchFLO 3D Interface on the Xperia X1

It’s a known secret that the Xperia X1 was manufactured by HTC for Sony Ericsson. So it is but expected that it was made to run some cool features that you would normally see on HTC phones.

One of this is HTC’s TouchFLO 3D user interface which can be loaded on top of the Windows Mobile 6.1 framework. The HTC TouchFLO 3D interface is a default feature of  HTC phones such as HTC Touch PRO and HTC Touch Diamond.

So, if you want to try some other user interface on your Xperia X1, you can try loading the TouchFLO 3D GUI instead.

But before you do so, please be reminded that this is just a hack and is not really an official Sony Ericsson work-around. So, have a braveheart before doing so. And if you’re really up to it, head over to XDA-Dev Forum for the much needed guide on how to install the HTC TouchFLO 3D interface to your Xperia X1 units.

    i use touchflo since ~2 weeks now and did not run in any problems with it.

    before installing it i was into selling my xperia to buy a non-touch-mobile cause the original windows mobile interface is, lets call it “not really finger-friendly” >_>.

    after installing touchflo (touch-it from xda) rom, the xperia seems to work faster and it’s easier to use it one-handed plus it looks much better.

    3d technology is becoming more and more awesome! I have been following the media of late, soon there will be 3d smartphones and 3d gaming devices.

    I can’t believe just how sophisticated 3-d technology is becoming latley. Pretty soon they are launching 3d cell phones and the Nintendo 3ds might be worth investing in. Still i feel that its to some extent gimmicky. Any views?

    i have read all of the harry potter books like 4 times. and seen the movies twice that amount. I cant wait untill harry potter and the deathly hallows comes out.
