Minor update for Xperia X10 released

While it’s not the update we were hoping for which would fix the battery problems on the X10, it is an update none the less. Firmware has been updated from R1FA016 to R1FB001 and the baseband has been updated to 1.0.21. Improved performance has been reported from the update, especially with MediaScape and TimeScape. You can update the X10 firmware by running the Sony Ericsson Update Service. It’s noted that at present, the update is only showing for Nordic and American handsets but, will be rolled out to the rest of the world soon. We should also see the next update by the end of the month to solve the battery problems.

    I think, *think*, I might wait until the battery update is released before I get my X10 to see if it actually helps. I have enough trouble with my iPhone battery going down quickly. Should only be an extra week to wait anyway :).
