O2 roll out firmware update
Posted in: Sony Ericsson, Xperia Software, xperia x10, tags: firmware update, o2, x10, xperia x10After much waiting and much complaining, O2 have now released the Xperia X10′s latest firmware update. The update can only be done via PC, by either using the Sony Ericsson Update Service or PC Companion. The download is 153.8MB.
The update will take O2 branded X10 owners straight from R2BA016 to R2BA026, missing out R2BA020 which many users assumed would be the one released. While some users will be happy with the choice, many others will wish O2 had stuck with the R2BA020 update. The R2BA020 build is said to be the only version which doesn’t seem to have the WiFi bug present. Unfortunately, R2BA026 brings this bug back. O2 users shouldn’t notice any difference though, as R2BA016 is also said to have this WiFi issue.

i can honestly say when iw as on the 016 firmware it never did the cut oput with the wifi althought it does now and when i use task manager when i first switch my phone on and cancel background apps iot switches my network off for about 10 seconds i dont have a clue why
i found out which app it is and weirdly enough its the backup restore app which kills the phone signal when using task manager i hope this doesnt effect the phone. decided to click ignore on it whenever it coems up so it doesnt switch the signal off every time phone stats up
Yeah I noticed that as well. I’ve had that since 020. If I killed the backup/restore app, the whole signal would drop and it would briefly unmount the SD card :|. So I just leave it be now.
I had some problems on 016, not as many as 014 but, they were still there :(. So I guess you were lucky :p.
Hey! Is it OK if I go a bit off topic? I’m trying to view your post on my Blackberry but it doesn’t display properly, any suggestions? Thanks for the help I hope! Lee
