Office Mobile 2010 free for Xperia X1 and X2

With the release of Office 2010 for organizations, the mobile version has also been made available for Windows Mobile handsets. The Windows phone blog states that the app is only available for Windows 6.5 users, which would exclude the Xperia X1. However the Sony Ericsson product blog, has listed both the Xperia X1 and X2 as being eligible to receive the app for free, as well as the Aspen.

You can get the updated Office through the Windows Phone Marketplace. The 2010 version includes improved versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Sharepoint. It’s also touted as being more touch friendly.

    But how? With my X1, in the marketplace Office Mobile 2010 is listed at $29.99. Do I need to add a credit card and then ‘purchase’ it with the hopes that I won’t be charged $30?
