Sony Ericsson has just launched the official pre-order site for the Xperia X1 for three countries in South East Asia - Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia. It’s actually a Flash-site where you can enter your personal information and whether you want to be the first to own the Xperia X1. The site doesn’t oblige you to purchase any Sony Ericsson products, be it the Xperia X1 or other SE products. It just says that there will be limited stocks of the Xperia X1 so you better reserve your units before the official release date.

I could understand Sony Ericsson for implementing some promotional blitz for the Xperia X1. After all this is their first Windows Mobile powered phone with full touch-screen features and slew of innovative features. It’s a make or break mobile phone release for SE in its first attempt to join the touchscreen phone market.
