We recently reported that the Argos outlet store on eBay were selling the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 on O2 for only £74 instead of the usual £99. We’ve now found that Argos are also selling the Xperia X10 Mini at a reduced price.

Again the handset is on their outlet store on eBay. Normally the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini is £119 on O2 but, through eBay you can pick up the X10 Mini for £83.98 including delivery.

Even though the Xperia X10 Mini is last year’s model, this is a very reasonable discount on the price and is almost half the price of Sony Ericsson’s 2011 Mini model, the Xperia Mini. For those new to Android, this is a great little handset. Even though the X10 Mini’s version of Android won’t be updated above 2.1, this is adequate enough for the type of handset it is. It comes equipped with a 5 megapixel camera which a lot of similar priced handsets don’t have.

Normally the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 retails for around £100 on O2. However through the Argos outlet store on eBay you can pick up a brand new Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 for £69.99 with £3.99 delivery, making the handset only £73.98 compared to the £99.99 price tag the phone carries through O2 directly.

The Xperia X8 has always been Sony Ericsson’s budget Android phone but, despite that the X8 has come under heavy criticism from users, as have Sony Ericsson for not upgrading the Android version on the X8 past Android 2.1. However, as a starter Android phone it’s a bargain price and comes with a 3 inch display compared to the 2.55″ display found on the Xperia X10 Mini’s, Sony Ericsson’s mid range smartphones.

Argos have reduced the price of the PlayStation certified mobile phone to just £180. The only bad news however, is that Argos currently don’t have any of the handsets available for in store collection, or home delivery. You’ll also get a universal screen protector, which is likely to need to be cut to size. Another important accessory is a memory card. With the offer you’ll get a 4GB micro SD card, providing twice as much storage as the standard 2GB included with the phone. You have plenty of time to make use of these deal, as it doesn’t expire until January 2011.
