
We recently reported that the latest firmware had been released for the Xperia X1, which was available for download via the Update Service software. We can now confirm the update is also available for Philippine X1 owners. Light Chronicles reports that the update in his country, as well as a step by step guide on how to update. It’s noted that the update is 162MB, so can take a while to download depending on your internet connection.
MrLeeche confirms that the update has made the Xperia bootup faster as well as the fish panel responding faster and the fish being visually bigger. Likewise, file exploring is also faster on the latest firmware.

We recently reported on the firmware update for the Sony Erisson Xperia X1. Unfortunately some users have received a message saying their firmware is already up to date and have been left wondering when the update will come. This isn’t the case though and it seems to be an issue with the Sony Ericsson Update Service software. Fortunately PocketNow have a solution posted up. If you “continue anyway” when the error pops up, it should download the new ROM and install it. If not you can download it from XDA-Developers and install it.
We also now have word on what the updated firmware brings. A Google search bar can now be found in the Today screen which ties into the Opera Mobile browser. The X1 also appears to load quicker and it appears to have fixed the bluetooth bug.

A new firmware update for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 is now available. The ROM version has been updated to 1.03.936.6 from 1.03.936.3.
The firmware update is available and can be installed from the Sony Ericsson Update Service. Unfortunately there is no information on what the changes in the firmware are. It has however been reported that the update lets the X1 connect to networks faster as well as booting up quicker.
