The UK may be getting the Xperia X2 in October along with the US, although no official confirmation on that, we can reveal when the handset is expected to  launch in France. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 is due to hit the streets of France in November and will carry a price tag of 600 Euros sim free. The price is cheaper than expected so hopefully we’ll see some really good offers from carriers. Unfortunately we haven’t got any prices for contracts yet but, we’ll keep you posted.

Sony Ericsson have opened up an online store for French customers, where they can purchase many of the company’s phones, including the Xperia X1. All the phones on the site come unlocked and sim free.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 is listed at €649 ($907). The company plan to roll out the online service internationally soon. The UK already has an online store, where the X1 can also be purchased. However the UK price is a lot cheaper than in France. The X1 can be picked up unlocked and sim free for £420 ($681), which is just over $200 cheaper.
