Across my travels on the internet, I found this picture posted up of the Xperia X1 and Nokia N95 8GB posted up comparing the screens of the handsets.

Both phones were connected to the internet and taken to WikiPedia for this comparison screenshot. The page is wider on the N95, but longer on the Xperia X1. The Xperia makes better use of the screen size and is much crisper and clearer to read. Overall, the Xperia has the better screen from this screenshot, but it’s a shame the Xperia display wasn’t zoomed in more.

Both phones can also display the web pages landscape but there isn’t a comparison picture on that at the moment.
