While it isn’t officially confirmed by Sony Ericsson yet, rumour has it that the Xperia X3, previously known as Rachael could hit stores as soon as January 2010. Sound familiar? Expansys also have the Xperia X2 listed as shipping in January 2010. However it looks like we’ll be seeing the X2 in October in the UK and probably in the US.

It seems strange to launch two flagship handsets almost directly after each other but it could be very interesting. The Xperia X2 will launch with Windows Mobile 6.5 while the X3 will launch with Android, so could Sony Ericsson be giving us the choice of both handsets? Hopefully.
