UsTwo.co.uk have created promotional videos for the Xperia X2 and the X10, aka Rachael. They video clips are described as “emotive in phone” videos. The videos don’t show you the handsets but rather, what is going on, in the phone. You can view their X2 video below and the X10 after the jump.
Sony Ericsson will be a holding a press conference sometime next week, where they will be announcing one device. Rumours are that the device they will announce, is the successor to the Xperia X1, Sony Ericsson’s first Windows Mobile smartphone. The X2 will hopefully be officially announced this time round, unlike the possible announcement back in June. The X2, codenamed Vulcan features Windows Mobile also, but with a bigger touch screen at 3.5 inches. The camera is also improved on the X2, up to a respectable 8.1mp.
Following on from the recent pictures we’ve seen of the X2 as well as those showing it next to the X1, we’ve now got a video of the X2 in action. The video is a bit blurry, but it gives us keen X2 enthusiasts a glimpse into how Windows Mobile will look on the X2 and run. The handset isn’t the final model from Sony Ericsson and features some bugs. One of which is the phone displays a low battery message occasionally, even when fully charged. The handset in the video also appears to have a low activity time out as the screen dulls often.
Coming back from behind the limelight of the Xperia Rachael is Vulcan, the Xperia X2. Photos have been taken of the Xperia X2 side by side with it’s predecessor.
It’s clear while next to the X1, how similar in design the two handsets are, but it also makes the X2 appear bulky compared to it’s sibling. For the extra size though, the X2 flaunts a 3.5 inch display. The keyboard is designed more like a laptop keyboard than the X1, which should make typing easier.
We recently showed you a picture of what could be the Vulcan, aka Xperia X2. The previous picture had been cropped in size, with the background cut out, making the picture not all that clear. Thanks to FanKlub.se, we can now see that picture up closer and larger as well as an additional photo.
The picture above is an enlarged, clearer version of the one we showed the other day. Xperia is clearly written on it and in the closer picture, the keyboard looks much easier to type on than the X1. With the second picture below, it shows us the back of the Xperia X2, which shows us the X2 is to come equipped with an 8.1 megapixel camera.
