The Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness entered the FCC for approval and got it. One dissapointment while looking at what’s in the filing, is that 3G is nowhere to be found in the testing. Looking through all the documents on the FCC though, only the User Manual mentions 3G in the context of saving battery life. It does however confirm that the Xperia Pureness is indeed the X5 and not the X4, which we’re still missing from the Xperia lineup.
Engadget note though, that with the transparent screen it’s unlikely many will be using it for web browsing or media streaming and so 3G probably won’t be missed much in this handset. So hopefully, with the approval by the FCC it means it’ll be available from the Sony Style store soon, possible on par with the UK November release.

Previously we’ve shown you the Xperia X5 concept by tob!s, codenamed Nadine which was pretty cool. Now another Esato forum member, echo.shane has created a concept for the XPeria X5. This time round, the concept features a QWERTY keyboard along with dual speakers. The screen uses the OLED technology, which makes the phone concept super slim. Inside the specs are pretty outstanding as well. This concept X5 features 1GB of RAM and 2GB ROM along with support for SD/MMC/MC memory cards up to an outstanding 1TB. How much memory is in the phone to start with is unclear. Like Rachael, this concept X5 is to also run on Android and sport an 8.1 megapixel camera. Let’s hope Sony Ericsson come up with something as eye catching and innovating for the X5.

With confusion over whether Rachael was the X3 or X5 and if Kiki was either of them, or the X4, it’s refreshing to see a new design, which is very clear on which Xperia model it is. Over on Esato, one of their members, tob!s has created a Xperia X5 concept and designed it for us all to see. He uses the codename Nadine for the handset, which is sleekly designed.
His concept X5 doesn’t come in the standard black, but rather opts for a classy chrome silver, along with the bright sunny orange and ocean blue. Specs wise, it would include a 12 megapixel camera like the upcoming Satio. The device runs on Android over Windows Mobile, with it possibly being Android 2.0. That’s not all that the phone includes though, a Sony Ericsson App Store has also been created, which looks to have taken it’s initiative from the Apple Store.
