Tweak your Xperia X1a for Better Video
Posted in: Xperia Software, Xperia X1, tags: xperia romIf you’re from the U.S. you’ve probably have the Xperia X1a unit with a limited video recording capability. Xperia X1a units can only record video up to 24fps for QVGA and 10 fps for VGA resolution. You have to thank Broadcom, the company which holds the patent rights on mobile for that limitation.
But don’t lose your hope in being able to record video from your Xperia X1a with the highest quality. If you’re brave enough to tweak your unit’s ROM, then a new ROM upgrade is available at your perusal. By upgrading your Xperia X1a ROM you’re going to make it similar to the UK Version of your unit – the X1i. You can get the UK Xperia X1i ROM by visiting pocketnow.com. They got the link to the file.
Of course you probably know by now that upgrading your unit’s ROM might cause it to break down. So take all necessary precautions before doing so.
