Yes I have the same problem with my bluetooth.
Very annoying if you use the headset and want to receive a call.
You press the button to access the call and… no dice!

Not a good way to go especially when you are driving down the road.

To change your bluetooth name all you have to do is change your device name:
Start >> Settings >> System >> About >> Device ID

As for sending pictures the option to do this isn’t called send via bluetooth as this is far to obvious, instead select the picture/song you wish to send click menu then beam file. You can then search for the available devices and select the one you wish to send the file to.

To send files to your X1i differs depending on the hardware you are using, if you are sending from a PC you can often do it by right-clicking the file, clicking sent to and there should be a bluetooth option however, since I have had my replacement Xperia which I needed after an unfortunate accident I haven’t been able to bluetooth any files to it as apparently my new X1i doesn’t support file transfer via. bluetooth.

Has anyone else had this problem and is there a known fix?

i can never seem to find where abouts my received files go. i search for them in the search tool but that doesnt really help…any ideas please?? really frustrating :D

Bought a new Toyota Venza. Car came w/a built in bluetooth phone. Every few days the pre-set names get lost; numbers w get lost; strange responses ie (your phone is missing…albeit that it is inches away). Very frustrating. Anyone have any suggestions? Anyone experienceing similar problems ?

My current issues with X1:
Phone freezes

In short…. its the worst phone I’ve ever had and the last Sony Ericsson.

Do not buy an X10 if you are thinking of getting one. I have nothing but trouble with mine and lose signal/connection/3g all day long. I live and work in Central London! Several times friends or colleagues have asked to see it in action and I say how quick the internet and processor speed is but then errors come up connection drops. I am not anti SE and have had 3 or 4 of them in the past. Plus the texting/key pad could be better. I hate Iphones and hoped this phone lived up to the hype but it doesn’t. I am now stuck in an 18 month contract with a phone that does not work. Overal 5/10 mainly because connection drops off 20/30 times a day and I cannot receive calls etc. So close. Yet so far.

Did you mean the X1 (based on the post subject), or the X10 (i think there’s other posts regarding some issues with the X10?)? If it’s the X10, I’ve just got mine this week and have had no problems yet. I actually sold my iPhone to get it – well to put money away to pay off the contract anyway and am currently loving it more than the iPhone, except for the apps (I am missing the appstore) and YouTube. I never used the iPhone YouTube app much but, from what I remember, it found what I wanted. Loads of vids are named incorrectly for what I’m searching for now so I haven’t found the video I want when I’ve searched so far :( – except when I was showing my partner unboxing vids of various phones on it.

the sony experia mini pro is not very good at all the bluetooth is the main problem it wont connect to other devices or even show up and there’s alot of issues with this phone no ones bluetooth is workin will it be resolved

The phone is sound apart from, Bluetooth, i can connect to another phone and thats it no sending or receiving. With all the money spent on getting it on the market you would think they would of sorted the Blurtooth out as well.I hope its not long before it gets sorted.

Select Menu and Market icon and search icon (top right side of phone) and type bluetooth and click bluetooth file transfer download. once successfully downloaded then close all the windows and check bluetooth option On and select the pic open the properties u can see the bluetooth option.

iv just bought the sony ericsson x10 mini pro,and i can recieve files by bluetooth,but cannot send files via bluetooth,can any help me?it doesnt give me an option to ‘beam the film’ either.

hi im X1i user too, i dont have any prob w/ regards to bluetooth thing but im so desperate of transferring my picture files from my x1i to laptop (bluetooth of my laptop is not working) so i used cable transfer file but seems like x1i read it as modem internet connection. what am gonna do? :(

and by the way my x1i freeze too but it doesn’t have extra external memory yet so im thinking of transferring it to latop coz it might help to about freezing coz its loaded with picture files.
