In a recent study by Hitwise on the top ten most searched for mobile phone in the UK for 2008, it showed that the although Sony Ericsson managed to snag 3 spots, the Xperia X1 only managed to land on the number 9 spot. Meaning it is the ninth most searched for mobile phone in the UK during the said month. Or to be more specifically blunt, the Xperia X1 is the th most searched iPhone killers, since the most searched for mobile phone in the UK for October 2008 is of course the iPhone.

Interestingly, the other two mobile phones from Sony Ericsson which users have been searching for are the Sony Ericsson C905 and C902. Other mobile phones on the list are the Samsung Omnia, LG Viewty, Nokia N96 and N96, Samsung F4800 and G600.

With three of its mobile phone on the list, Sony Ericsson become the number 2 most searched mobile phone in the UK for October 2008.
