IDG is reporting that Sony Ericsson may not be shipping ample units of the Xperia X1 as planned this month, or at least for some countries in a few days from now. According to the iDG report, SE is having problems with an essential material for manufacturing the Xperia X1. Although the report did not specify which part is causing the problem, the report said that “ready” units will still push through in a couple of days for some European countries, although additional supply will not come in until SE has resolved the problem.

As for the projected release of the Xperia X1 in other countries including Asia, this will not be affected by the manufacturing delay as some of the available Xperia X1 units will still ship as planned.
