exact same issue. singapore sony ercsson not helping without ~70usd. They claim there is no such defect.

I have the same problem with my X1 here in Germany

my x1 have same crack corner in battery compartment in USA

a blue tooth function on my X1 is not working normal. my X1 about 5 month old.

Are sony prepared to do anything to fix what is clearly a design flaw?

I have the exact crack. I live in the Philippines. SE is dead silent about this issue. I mean REAL dead silent. They haven’t got a solid answer whether to change it or not. Damn it.

I also have the exact crack, damn! I bought it last december, unfortunately yesterday, i saw that there is a crack. I also live in Philippines, mine is silver.

mine too, exact same place, same crack. I bought it five moths ago and it doesn’t vibrate anymore :(

yes mine has now two cracks, one leading from the camera to the power button, and another along the side plastic bit..
Not understanding why seeing as i havn’t dropped it once!

…and i fix mine as well as my frend X1.. a friend claim he found solution for CRACKS…take down the battery clamp(back cover)and FORCE DOWN 2 holders just enough(half mm) not being in same line with the outline of back cover(2 holders which goes in the motherboard down to the battery)…the pressure of the back battery holder is too strong and it results with crack..this option reduces the pressure..and there will be no Cracks..just a little empty space(up and down while pressing clamp between phone body and back clamp(battery holder)…definitely looks better than cracks..and sending to Service on owners expences(70$ new case)…

…and for bluetooth problems…try to update you’re X1 with SE x1 last software..do-lo the software updater from SE main site..there’s an latest software version..

…and reply if find useful…someone is waiting you’re opinion…to be or not…

I bought X1 since March and I have the same crack

I’ve bought the X1 (silver) since march 25th and now I’ve got EXACTLY the same crack. I’m living in the Netherlands. now I hope I don’t have to pay for the repairs!!!

I’ve got the exact same crack, plus some other cracks near the lens (v-shape). Also the silver plastic strip in the middle/side of the phone has got cracked.
Anyone knows anything about Sony acknowledging yet?

my x1 froze the other day and when removing the battery i noticed the same crack as in the above picture. has anyone managed to get a reply from SE about this problem and if so what are they going to do about it.

im in south africa and i bought mine about 5months ago and it also has that same crack amongst others…

I have same crack like this. My cell phone has never drop. 　I found that the corner tends to crack since there is design issue of “stress concentration”, this is mechanical design issues.

Is anyone got this fix. How much is the cost?

After 11 months, mine X1 too is affected. Just realize yesterday when I’m supposed to sell it off…..D@mn

I’ve just purchased a secondhand X1 and seen this thread, checked my phone and yep, exactly the same crack! gutted, dissapointed sony didn’t pick up on this during testing,slack

Using X1 from last 1 yr. Till now no signs of any such crack. Only thing I hate is the scratches the battery cover develop. I need to replace that as it look ugly.
